Re: Bromley or Solihull Moors
I remember when we used to play Solihull FC and Moor Green FC in the Southern League 30 years ago. Solihull Moors are an amalgamation of those two clubs for anyone (remotely) interested. Not sure I knew that, thanks. They’ve done very well over the last 10 years or so. Some good investment and a de...

Yes it was Guiseley. Think Billy Waters got a hat trick? Can’t find a breakdown of our results that season. Just an overall page of results only from the national league that season.

Re: Rumour season opens
Wardy must be in his early ‘70s now?
Thought he’d be enjoying his retirement?
Top bloke who spoke loads of sense even if he did clear off to Carlisle, but he did say he couldn’t take the Robins any further forward back then.

Re: Stats
Who was the team we beat 5-0 in the National League title winning season? Midweek game at WR under lights and the away supporters coach was late arriving.
About 25 got off and by the time they were in their seats we were 2-0 up and we’d only played five minutes. Much amusement prevailed.

Re: Rumour season opens
One man is being forgotten in all of this: Alfie May, he kept us in the league one with his 20+ goals a season, no Alfie no more league one. I think Alfie May owes a lot to Mike Duff. He wasn't exactly setting the world on fire before MD really got stuck into him. Just ask Doncaster. I think most o...

Must be a good month earlier starting the the renovation this year. Local cup finals, business competitions and pop concerts, plus the availability of the sub contractors oftens means a late May start. We’ll have the best playing surface in league two! Just need the players who can use it. Interesti...

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Yes, I noticed a few Stevenage players turn to acknowledge us at the end. Unlike the bellend Sweeney shushing us when they scored the penalty. I have no issue with players giving it back to fans who have been getting on their back, but there was none of that yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Thought Pardington did remarkably well seeing he’s only played a handful of senior games in his career.
Noted that his contract runs out this summer, as does Southwood, and Max Harris too I believe.
If DC moves on, good luck to whoever sorting out the No. 1 for starters.

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
Hearing rumours we might be about to appoint a Director of Football and it's a face we all know. Unsure how that fits with keep Clarke for next season but I believe he worked with one at Port Vale and Bristol Rovers. Hopefully a bit of positive news on a really low day for the club. Face we all kno...

God damn hope. We were down weeks ago but at least we have gone out with some pride. Here's to the 2024/25 season. I'll take survival right now, but hopefully we can keep DC and have a go at the play-offs, or better. Think we’ll have a few years of consolidation in League Two, a bit like after rele...

Grant McCann a true Robins great. Really nice bloke too. Sat with him at an end of season dinner 20 years ago. One of the few good things Bobby Gould did during his time here was getting his permanent signing over the line from WHU. Best wishes Grant and hope to see you at Whaddon Road in League One...

There was a fanzine in the mid-90's. Would have been '94 or '95 when I went into school on a Monday morning and my teacher had left his copy from the weekend on my desk for me. Stashed away in the attic somewhere at the moment but the front page was something about "Rushden Anne Diamonds"...

Remember going there in 1999 when we won the Conference. 2-2 draw and Bobby Bloomer sent off late on. Tidy stadium there that they’ve improved since then. Awful place to get to from Cheltenham though.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United
It's definitely lacking and very noticeable how our midfield has improved when it's Bonds/Pett rather than Pett/Kinsella. Would love to see us add big powerful and pacy forward (similar to Jones for Posh) who can give us an outlet and let us play on the counter attack in the summer no matter which ...

DC said yesterday we’d picked up more injuries on Saturday so be interesting to see what sort of team he’ll be able to send out. Terrible start, and looks like a poor end to the season too. No cup runs, manager possibly moving on, and now discontent the way the club is run by the board by some fans....

Thought I saw him in the pub straight after the game the other week.

Difficult situation we are in. Most of us appreciate the hard work the board put in to running the club and keeping it on a fairly even keel most of the time. But somehow the board have to get extra investment into the club if we are to grow, which we all want, whether they can find that investment ...

Excellent performance but …… Burton were absolutely dire.
However did they win last Saturday? And a shame they are playing Fleetwood last day of the season but if they play like that they won’t get another point.

No doubt the FED/Robins Trust board are all over this. It’s a crush in the concourse and everyone is moaning about the lengthy queues in the CF when half of the facilities are not available. Best thing to do is demolish the whole ground and rebuild it with the pitch moved round 90 degrees. Improved ...

I was sorry to see Thompson go too.
