Re: Robins Trust Email - Cheltenham Town: Building for the Future
Not yet mentioned here is the first key recommendation from this (excellent, constructive) paper produced by the Trust: DRIVING MODERNISATION: BECOMING PROACTIVE Cheltenham Town is an outlier in the EFL in that it is one of a small handful of clubs without anyone in a senior executive management pos...

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Thirded on Jamie Pardington. Did very well, in difficult circumstances.
Good to hear the fans encouraging him, singing his name at key moments.
BTW, someone needs to update his Wikipedia page. Currently shows him still on loan at Truro City. More to write about now!

Re: See you at Stevenage!
More of a party atmosphere than I thought... Thought we'd all be sat here biting our fingernails! Stewards trying to burst balloons and inflatables, but in a non-confrontational way. Bagged a seat on front row, so hopefully will get a decent view sat down. Only worry now is if I will get crushed if...

Re: See you at Stevenage!
People who want to stand can stand at the back People who want to sit can sit anywhere that isn't the back. In our away ends, all the people who want to stand do so more or less together anyway. It's never caused problems at well-attended seated away games like Swindon. That’s fine by me - so long ...

Re: See you at Stevenage!
I take the point made here that with a sold out stand it will be chaos if allocations are not enforced. I just hope the tickets I have are near the back so we can stand. My assigned seat appears to be in Row B - so hopefully that means second row, and I will be able to sit AND enjoy a view of the g...

Re: See you at Stevenage!
Bristol Rovers unallocated seating last season was chaos. Really poorly managed. I remember that as the game where the (tiny) allocation of seats was sold out, and I had to stand on what can hardly be described as terracing. I vowed never to go to that ground again (as I did, for different reasons,...

I can only suggest you get there in good time and bag a seat near the front. The away stand at Stevenage is elevated so even front seats have a good view.

Re: See you at Stevenage!
Surely they’ll have to impose sticking to seat number. It’ll be chaos otherwise. I go to lots of away games, and can only recall one occasion (I think perhaps it was at Newport, about 3 or 4 years ago?) when ‘seat numbering’ was enforced. Otherwise, it’s normally “sit (or stand) wherever you like”....

Re: See you at Stevenage!
Over on Twitter…”X”…it’s been reported that no drum or inflatables will be permitted, due to the away end being sold out. I suspect that is a prediction (to include ‘on the day’ sales) rather than strictly true right now. Tickets still available for purchase online, as far as I can see. Meanwhile, I...

Re: See you at Stevenage!
Also, once more tickets do go on sale, worth being aware that Stevenage’s definition of “Adult” is age 18 - 59. This means that “Senior” tickets are available for anyone age 60 or over (not 65, as at most other clubs including CTFC).

Re: See you at Stevenage!
Not quite, @Triggo…
A Cheltenham win is necessary (but not sufficient) to avoid relegation.
We also need:
Cambridge to lose;
OR
Burton to lose or draw.
No need to worry about goal difference, provided the results go the way we need, our goal difference will be sufficient to survive.

Re: See you at Stevenage!
Not quite as bad as that. Per Google Maps, 0758 train from Chelt to London should get you to Stevenage by 1128 (3 trains and a bus).
I’m planning to pre-position to London on Friday though, which will be even easier.

Re: Matchday Parking Insufficient
Parklands are not very good at organising the parking (nor maximising their potential income). It was always obvious that Parklands car parks would end up full today. Much of the space they have is “in the field” at the far end, but they are consistently bad at supervising/directing parking there by...

Re: Matchday Parking Insufficient
Which car park are you talking about? The main car park (run by the football club) or the Parklands car park (run by the community centre, independent of the club)? The Hazelwoods stand backs on to Whaddon Road, so it’s not at all obvious which car park you are referring to.

GOOD SEATS STILL AVAILABLE !
Sorry for starting yet another thread on seat availability (a running theme now for several weeks). But if this “shouty” title encourages even a few ditherers to come along tomorrow, it’s worth it. Re: 1887 Red Army - Block 8?
Block 8 (the small corner block) is now on sale (to home fans) for the Lincoln match on Saturday. None of the Block 8 seats sold yet, nor any in Block 7. Meanwhile, block 6 (which is often also, controversially, sold to away fans) is currently about 2/3 sold (to home fans). I’m seriously doubtfully ...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Yes. Major theatres (including West End) do this all the time. So the club needs to get the word out big-time: “More Seats Released”, and emphasise these are in the Colin Farmer stand (good legroom, good views, good facilities). Word of mouth (from more-regular fans) also needed to encourage the “bi...

Checked just now with dummy bookings. Blocks 6 and 7 both on sale to home fans against Lincoln on Saturday and Peterborough on Tuesday.
Some people have got their wish. Now let’s see if the fickle fans of Cheltenham turn out in the required numbers.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Exeter City
Curious that neither the Thomas nor Kinsella penalty shouts was shown in the “Extended Highlights” on iPlayer. I had to go to the full “Match Replay” to get a look at them. Both looked pretty clearcut penalties to me, especially the one for Thomas, where the defender’s leg clearly tripped Thomas aft...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Yes, undoubtedly absent ST holders. Plus, the club tweeted at 1100 this morning that all seats were SOLD OUT, but standing tickets still available. After events today, I do wonder if there might be a safety reason for not allowing away fans to have blocks 7 and 8? It is just too tempting for them to...

Peterborough is the final home game. We have 6 other games before that (including today). By the time we play Peterborough, we might be certain of staying up 😀, or certain of being relegated 🙁. In either case, we would almost certainly NOT sell out the whole CF stand. It’s frustrating we have so man...

Nothing quite like being relegated in front of a full house of away fans Clowns Easy to say. But more complex than this. I’d settle for 12 points (4 wins) or even 11 points (3 wins and 2 draws) from the next 5 games.
Whisper it quietly, but I suspect even DC might be rather happy with that!

Re: The RCS + DC annual countdown thread
Five more wins (and no draws) would see us on 53 points. So, at this stage of the season, 4 wins (and 50 points) should surely see us safe? My biggest fear is we might get nothing at all from the final 3 games (home to Lincoln and Peterborough, finishing with away to Stevenage). So, the next 5 games...

Colin Farmer stand appears sold out, except for a handful of “seats” in block 1 (where you will be forced to stand to see anything of the game!).
