Re: Michael Duff
What?! CTFC potentially not getting a fair price for Michael Duff?! This would definitely be a first.

Probably need to wait 5 years for prices to come down. If we get any building work down now the materials will cost a s#!t load more than, hopefully, a few years time...yeah I'm being an optimist at the moment.

Hey, why don't we all play worst case scenarios... Back in the National League for 2024/25. It's already sorted. I'd just like to point out that Michael Duff was on nobody's radar on the day Gary Johnson was sacked. IF and when Duff leaves, there are plenty of young ambitious managers out ther...

Quite a few Barnsley fans showing their ignorance on twitter, that's for sure.
Starting to feel ominous. The search for a replacement would at least be fairly early in the summer so a new manager could hopefully get in some players that they would want...

Exactly, they must have asked MD if he has any interest before giving permission, otherwise they'd have just said no, not interested, bye.

Neither side are used to that kind of occasion, or playing in that kind of heat, and it showed. Rangers were the stronger side as the game went on but yes it was very short on quality all round. Lots of players desperate not to lose, rather than desperate to try and win it, it seemed.

Watching the play offs and it still rankles me that the horrible little man in charge of Luton had the nerve to call Whaddon Road a horrible little ground, just because we snatched a late draw against him, when you look at the state of Kenilworth Road. Pillars everywhere, seemingly permanent scaffol...

Re: A potential danger to women!
No mention of police ever being involved, so what could he have done that is so bad that he was, basically, sacked and is labelled as a potential danger to women? He obviously fell just short of the line when it comes to police involvement, but where is the line?

Re: Alfie May - Blackburn Rovers show interest.
I just cannot see a Championship club buying a 28 year old who has 2 years left on his contract and, before last season, had scored something like 25 goals in around 150 games in League 1 and League 2. To be honest, I'd be surprised if anyone buys him, given his contract and the fact he's hardly bee...

Re: Playing Budget
We have said before in terms of points, but MD (along with Micky Moore) is worth an extra £1m on the budget. IE, he could make a £2m budget seem like a £3m budget through good singings and then his management/coaching. When he does go, hopefully we can only hope we don't get a Gould/Allen to replace...

It's very odd how Dale Vince and FGR, despite being a man/club of the people and one of the greatest human beings alive/bestest most greenest club on earth, seem to have so many problems with people and other clubs.
Do you think they'll even bother trying to get MD?

Nor me. As said above, was great when he was great, but had too many games where he was anonymous. MD needs players that will show up more often than not with a 7/10 performance, rather than one who sometimes is a 9 and then gives half a dozen 4's. No room for luxury players on our budget.

MD said there will is a small increase in the budget he has been given.
Unfortunately for us, the extra income has to subsidise more than just the budget. FGR's money man can cover everything else for them.

Thought both second legs were pretty poor overall. But that's nervy play-off football for you sometimes, where the whole season rests on 90/180/270 minutes. Sometimes it is tight and tense and nobody is taking it by the scruff of its neck, sometimes a team falls apart (no, I'm not thinking about us ...

The good thing on Pack's side is he was never blessed with an abundance of pace and seemed to glide around, so he should be able to keep going for a good few years yet at a similar level, I'd have thought.

If Gloucester City were, one day, to climb into the League and the same division as us, do you think our average home gates would considerably improve due to the local rivalry and history between the clubs?
