Melt down on the Blackpool Forum.....I did warn them ha ha...told them not to disrespect us....serves them right....they are c!#p away from home. You need a thick skin to comment on there, they love abusing anyone and everyone A very entertaining read. They certainly don't think much of Critchley o...

Re: Spirit of Cheltenham EFL XI
Jimmy Smith, Jimmy Wring, Martin Boyle (gave his all? doubtful  ), all of those guys that played mid 90's before we got into gear from 97 onwards. They were properly non league (when non league was the pits) worked all day then played all over the country on some quite awful pitches and grounds...

Re: Port Vale
From comments of fans of team who Darren Moore managed, they will be defensive and probably unadventurous against us. He hasn't got the talent he had at Sheff Wed at this level. He has inherited a new team and players new to him with no win in 6 games. Conceding at time 3 goals in a game, My bet is...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Blackpool
I am a Blackpool fan who used to live in Cheltenham and loves the town. When I lived in Cheltenham (1998-2002) I went to lots of games at Whaddon Road in the era of Boka and Banksy referred to in the spirit of Cheltenham EFL 11 thread above. When I was one of many boycotting Blackpool home games I ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Blackpool
Ended up with the Blackpool stream and their co-commentator was unbelievably bitter. Ex-player (not sure who) but saying he used to hate playing against teams like us who just wanted to lump it forward and go route one all the time. That seems to be the general vibe with teams like blackpool, shat ...

Some of the corners he was putting in yesterday were unbelievable, pin point right under crossbar he was doing it every time as well.
He's very much off the radar (imo) but what a player he has become under DC.

So is this the end of the 'free agent' striker (player)? Was this just a punt to see if it would happen or do we have other options to go for? Or now we have a two in two striker is it still needed?

Great insight, DC is very savvy when it comes to the (modern) connections with the fans, getting onboard with an independent fans podcast is fantastic access to a manager. She has every right to say what she has said. Port Vale was a sinking club and will not find good owners so easily again. The sense of entitlement of some watchers of football is depressing. welcome to football, if they're naive enough to think they are beyond comment is quite something. Can only i...

Re: Game off (Burton)
I have wondered about this in the past. Would our fans be happy if we spent the next 30 years bobbing along in midtable League One, never likely to reach the play-offs but never really in relegation trouble either? We'd be a very established League One club. How boring. I have thought about how inc...

Re: What we can do to improve our chances
To me last Saturday was more mental, heads dropped after that calamity of their first goal and it was back to the dark days of WE. DC needs to snuff that mentality out straight away and not let it creep back in. The new striker we got in scored in less than 15 minutes and the lad from Bath looks exc...

yet another interesting episode, giving an insight into how a club of this size works week in week out, I'm definitely an advocate for this pod makes you rethink a few things in relation to our club.

You could tell Jordan Thomas had one thing on his mind when he got the ball, didn't even look up to pick a pass he new where the opposing player was before he got the ball then it was head down and took him on. An exciting prospect.

Re: January transfer window
I feel I must be in the minority, but I don't think the window was the disgrace that most seem to think it was. The defence was definitely weaker on Saturday, and that lack of experience at the back was ultimately what cost us I think. That's not to say Smith and Shepard won't be good players for u...

It does (and doesn't surprise me) that supporters seem unable to grasp where we are in the pecking order of the transfer window and "realistically" what we can expect to get in for a club of our size and salary structure. Especially in a time where there has never been more information ava...

Not the biggest away following and no gobby Ainsworth on the touchline so nothing much to sway him, both pretty small clubs so should imagine a 'fair' fight.

No surprise when you aim your product at the lowest common denominator, awful clothing.
Shame really as it had the chance to be a very reputible 'urban' clothing company but as usual they got very greedy.

its the 29th and doesn't seem to be much in the way of news from anyone.
I presume Sloggett didn't make the grade, a left winger and striker wanted but all gone silent.
unless anyone has heard anything else?

Seven games, pretty much two games a week all month, not a huge amount of travel with Wigan being the furthest away game (just). Hopefully we can stay injury free and not leave us too shattered for March and April.

Things seem to be bubbling up at Swindon. Fan protests, although isolated, starting up against the owner. Suspicions about cost cutting (Liam Kinsella's move to us being a prime exhibit) unquantified spending on legal fees and, most interestingly of all, the Supporters Trust under fire for being, s...
