Re: The RCS + DC annual countdown thread
Five more wins (and no draws) would see us on 53 points. So, at this stage of the season, 4 wins (and 50 points) should surely see us safe? My biggest fear is we might get nothing at all from the final 3 games (home to Lincoln and Peterborough, finishing with away to Stevenage). So, the next 5 game...

Re: The RCS + DC annual countdown thread
Been a while but at least we managed to get one post on this thread in March.
10 wins.
5 more to go.
8 games.
We might not need that many wins but it is the target and focus on the target must remain resolute.

Birmingham or Bromley. Sheffield or Solihull.
Just looking at who’s in relegation contention from the Championship, and it looks likely one of Birmingham City or Sheffield Wednesday will drop to L1. Looking at the National League, Bromley and Solihull Moors are currently two of the teams in the playoff positions to get up to L2. Shows the diffe...

Sometimes injuries and a run of games like this can galvanise a team to achieve something beyond what you would normally expect of them.

Following on the train down to God’s Own. Desperate when Fleetwood scored. Incredible when Keena did the same. Luckily we were passing through an area with signal. Monday is huge now. Just a shame any fans wanting to come on the back of today’s result will be disappointed to see they’ve been sold ou...

Re: Shrewsbury big loss
Just a personal view - it is probably the case that a lot of Championship / League 1 / League 2 Clubs factor in money expected to be cascaded from the Premier League, hence running up some level of debt (not all of the debt, as that would likely constitute serious mismanagement for whatever reason)...

Shrews site saying Lincoln lost over 3million, and Oxford 6.2 million. Hope Oxford got enough to continue installments for Goodwin!!! Makes our loss seem like peanuts. Would imagine most Lg1 clubs will make a loss Also from same source Portsmouth lost 3million. Hope Prem League are watching and try...

Re: Teams around us - Thread to season end
We really need Vale to beat Burton today. Doesn’t matter which order we are in the bottom four, we have to keep fifth bottom as close to us as possible. I’m fine with Vale leapfrogging us today because it would mean there are two teams above the drop zone within four points of us instead of one. Co...

Re: The last two.- standing package
In fact I may even go to the other extreme in this particular situation and give the away fans blocks 7/8 in the CF only and have the Hazelwoods for home fans. Do a big advertising campaign on social media etc. maybe kids for a tenner and get as much of the ground CTFC as possible to get behind the...

indeed, nothing like giving the team any small advantage that may help them get one of their needed wins. Clowns Steady on. I happen to agree that the CF should be for home fans only and that the club should work to fill it for every game (as it was for Port Vale). But it's possible to disagree wit...

Re: Teams around us - Thread to season end
I've never seen Port Vale as Portvale before. Whichever one turns up, anything other than a draw is a bad result for us. Worst result is a Burton win. We can't be happy with anything less than 3 points at Fleetwood, unless we absolutely steal a point. We have to beat the teams down around us and in...

Re: Teams around us - Thread to season end
Saturday is a day where things may become a little clearer with Burton at home to PortVale. I presume a draw would be the ideal result for us. A win for Portvale may give them confidence to go on a little run with their up and coming games. Again we don't want Burton getting 3 points and stretching...

Re: The last two.- standing package
Exeter were initially only given the Hazlewoods and sold out very quickly. Alas there are still plenty of tickets available in the CF for home fans. Even in the central blocks. I can understand why they don't want to turn away guaranteed income when Exeter asked for more tickets. Can see that to a ...

As the Manager said a clay layer was not helping drainage at Seasons putting turf from Reading on top would not help 3G pitch would. And obviously we would need to sort the clay and drainage before any new turf or seed goes down - didn’t think it needed saying. ‘Sort the clay’? Like it’s that easy?...

Re: League One - clubs in crisis
Maybe we should make a bargain basement offer to buy Reading’s 3G training pitch and the turf from their other pitches to lay at Seasons. Would solve the issue of our pitches not being good enough to use and wouldn’t fall foul of their planning condition. As the Manager said a clay layer was not he...

I think this game being delayed could be a blessing. By then we’ll know if we are relegated or if we are still battling. We will know exactly what we have to do. Peterborough should know if they are on the mid-table beach or still in the playoff hunt. We will know exactly what they are playing for, ...

We still have this continuing issue of strikers not scoring. Next game at Fleetwood we can't keep relying on the defence to get the points needed to stay up. Sky Sports News reported that the training ground was owned by a different company to the football club (both owned by Dai Yonge) so I guess he could just by a yacht.
