Re: So what is our team now then?
Looks about right although rather than having Munns and Waters at LM/RM it seems as though we'll play a narrower diamond with Storer in front of the back 4, Pell and Munns in front of him and Waters behind the front two.

If you're referring to the shirt we wore at Ciren, that's not the away shirt for this year - it's the purple one from the fans' votedarreno wrote:I do like the away kit this season. Almost as good as the Inter style shirt. Might have to invest.

Re: Paul Baker on remaining targets/summer of 'turmoil' at c
I didn't mind Troy at all, certainly played no worse than the rest of the team and as for the video of him at the end of the season, I'd say he had every right to retaliate to the idiots hurling abuse at him.

Re: New Striker??
I'd say we have a better chance of getting Hylton on loan than Storey. He and Culley are both reasonable suggestions

Because one has already signed for a new team and the other is at a top end League 1 club and spent all last season on loan in League 2?Roza wrote:Yeah, why wouldn't they be?

Re: Gary Johnson on targets/dressing room/pre-season
Burns would be an amazing signing but would expect him to go somewhere in League 2 or even League 1. Maybe Cotts will do us another favour though

Re: 3-4 players close to signing?
Plymouth have released Jason Banton, Dominic Blizzard, River Allen, Matt Lecointe, Marvin Morgan, Ollie Norburn and Jamie Richards. I remember Norburn scoring that 94th minute screamer against us for Bristol Rovers. the goal that helped send us down? 2 or 3 seasons ago, I think...so...no? Or does t...

Re: RIP Cheltenham Town FC
It wasn't sticking with Yates that was our downfall - it was replacing him with Buckle who got rid of all experience in the squad and sold our top scorer. Remember under Yates we had a 10 point cushion.

Re: Portsmouth v Cheltenham Town
Poor result given that we have thrown another lead away. Same at Newport. It's fine saying 2 draws from 2 away games is great but when you are leading in both the least you should expect is 4 points.

Re: Team for Newport
Agree with you K84. Like you I cannot understand why an opinion can bring back such aggressive and at times personal responses. From day one I have been of the opinion that Vaughan, like CBB is not League 2 standard, and I was hoping that we would see at least one new full back for Friday. Maybe th...

Re: Director of football
Shame Wardy turned it down but I feel Baker has absolutely made the right decision in not appointing one of the other candidates if they wanted too much control. Also positive regarding new signings, recognising that we need experienced players who have 'been there and done it'. Really good encourag...
