Re: Spirit of Cheltenham EFL XI

FWIW: Brown (for reasons already mentioned by others. Book would be a close second). Gill (was never actually as good as he looked in a CTFC shirt). Freeman (put him in another team, not alongside Banks and Victory, and I suspect he'd be mediocre at best. One of my all time favourite players, unsurp...

You said you understood the parameters of the OP yet picked Collicutt in your team, irrespective of any other discussion. I think that clarifies that you *didn't* understand the question in the first place...

While I do agree that nobody 'needs' that amount of money, people are paid broadly commensurate to reflect the number of people who can actually do a particular job. Mbappe is one of only a handful of people in the entire World who can do what he does - whereas, say, Amazon pay its warehouse workers...

Not at all. Just think it disqualifies him from the boundaries of the OP. Doesn't disqualify my opinion does it? I guess I could disqualify any of your picks, if I wanted. But I won't be so petty. He was someone who did come through the ranks and played well for us, and as an aside Managed us. Why ...

Re: Spirit of Cheltenham EFL XI

The operative parameter in the OP is 'EFL'... then mentions Dale Watkins as a sub, don't think he played in the EFL? Good point! OP is a knob. Superdale definitely overlapped with Grayson, though - did he play in our first season in the EFL? I know Jason Eaton quit before we played, but I can't rec...

Hard to make out what happened Exactly...the ref sees it once, at full speed, real time, with a dozen other things going on that he has to keep an eye on, with players who will take any advantage they can by exaggeraging any contact there may be. Yet they're still 'a disgrace' and 'not fit to refer...

Excitement at Whaddon Road

Well, the junction with Humber Road, to be precise...

As I was walking to the match, Gloucestershire constabulary were helping a gentleman into a vehicle. Four cars and a van, lots of blue lights and uniforms. Any idea what was going on? Plenty of onlookers.

First 20 mins, I thought Keena was pretty good - head up, immediately looking for Lloyd with some nice touches. Then they scored and he completely disappeared. Not sure if we'll see him in a Cheltenham shirt, again - record signing or not.
