If for no other reason than possession statistics are purely quantitative rather than quantitative they have little appeal to me.

5% possession on the half way line is not the equivalent of 5% possession on the edge of/within the opposition box. Except in the statistics!

I'm sure "personality" enters the equation for all signings at all clubs in theory but that some take it seriously and some play lip service.

I am as convinced as I can be from the outside that CTFC are in the former category.
