I agree they should forfeit - but why did the 4th official not notice? Whenever a sub is made, both him and the ref scribble in their notebooks, don't they?

You would have thought that somebody from one of the sides or the officials would have picked up on it, but playing the game again does seem stupid. Exeter must have known how many subs they'd made - kick them out.

I always thought fielding an ineligible player was expulsion whatever the reason. Bringing on a 6th sub, is doing the same thing and so Exeter should be thrown out.

So it seems it was a cock-up by the officials who didn't know the rules and said they could've a sixth sub in extra time.

Bradford tried to use a 6th sub in ET after Exeter had done so and they were turned down. Can't see how Exeter are allowed to stay in the competition

Plus Bradford have a near 600 mile round trip in midweek to play again. Lets hope they get some compensation, and the officials are reprimanded. But i suspect the Referees Association will circle the wagons to protect one of their own,as usual.
