I'd love to see Sam Foley back at whaddon road in the red and white but I think there's more chance of Villa beating Man City than that!

Deffo NO to signing Grimes, after he turned tail on us last summer at the last moment and headed back up to his beloved North - the glamorous Bury!
Leave him up there to freeze - after all that, he couldn't get into the Bury team anyway - what a t**t!

Made more sense for him to stay up North, it didn't work out for him like it didn't work out for Vincent here.CheltRobin wrote:Deffo NO to signing Grimes, after he turned tail on us last summer at the last moment and headed back up to his beloved North - the glamorous Bury!

If Brown doesn't sign a new deal - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27323942" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Reckon he'll sign a new deal - or move upto L1.

Scunthorpe release striker Connor Jennings. Scored 16 in 16 for Macclesfield last season. Worth a gamble?

If Scott Brown did move on I'd make a move for Paul Jones released by Crawley
Isaac Osbourne's contract is up at Partick. Been out injured since December, but left the Dons to try to find a club closer to his family in the midlands and couldn't find one, hence signing for Partick, last summer.
If, and it's a big IF given his history, he could get fit and remain so, he'd boss League 2. Possibly too much of a risk though.

Surely Partick are more conference standard? I wouldn't take anyone below top six in the SPL

Is he? Been No. 1 at Exeter for 4 years, so I would think he must Ok at least.

Off the top of my head...
Scott Fox
Jamie Hamill, Danny Wilson, Mark O'Hara, Aaron Taylor-Sinclair.
Isaac Osboure, Richard Brittain, Kevin Thompson, Kenny McLean.
Kris Boyd, James Collins
subs; Mark Brown, Rocco Quinn, Alexei Eremenko, Ryan Stevenson, Steven Thompson.
All bottom 6 SPL, that team would p!## L2 and probably L1.

Alex Rodman leaves Grimsby after rejecting a new contract. 27 year old winger/striker. Worth a look?

Summerfield not been offered a contract by the Salop.
No substance to him being linked with us....though may just start it off!

We can't afford him now - reckon he'll find another L1 club, or a big budget L2 club.
My understanding of what you have written is that Yates will be offering something to Summerfield.Malabus wrote:Don't think Yates will be offering nothing to Summerfield.

Don't remind me. Summer 2008, Downing did brilliantly to keep us up after Ward left. However, the enduring news stories coming from WR that summer were that player after player were invited down to the training ground and were apparently impressed by them, yet NONE OF THEM SIGNED! Togwell was 1 of them - Ba****d!

Was that the year we had our Q&A ready for Martin Patterson and/or Gary Hooper?CheltRobin wrote:Don't remind me. Summer 2008, Downing did brilliantly to keep us up after Ward left. Think it was - actually, was it Summer 2008? Never before or since have I heard Chelt linked to so many strikers in 1 summer - and none of them liked us enough!
