Some of the worst goals to give away I have ever seen!
Lovely by CBB for the third. The type of wing-play where if Bale did it the media would be ordering extra Kleenex supplies.
How eggy was the Swindon red card when he got off the pitch!?!

I especially liked "the scouser gets his goal"

If we are talking tradition the draw should, of course, be on Monday lunchtime.

True Kev. I remember following the draw from university library computers on a Monday back in the day.

I did like how the Everton draw was ona Sunday before our Hereford game was played. Really set it up nicely.
I remember Monday lunchtimes. No mobile phones back then, so for the final qualifying round, one would wait until after 1 pm and phone a recording at the FA from the school's only pay phone. I think the games teacher would stand nearby to see who Wycombe had got (he played for them). If there was a first round tie, then a pocket radio did the trick. Radio 5 not having been invented, it was on Radio 2.
I love the sense of anticipation this gives you - much better than instant gratification. Until Monday night, there are 39 possible opponents, all with an equal chance.

How did you cope. These days I get frustrated when the live feeds don't update no matter how many time a minute one presses refresh.leohoenig wrote:I remember Monday lunchtimes. Julian Lailey played for us as well. Top man and double international.
