On the Shrewsbury front, rumours of new owners or investment there, could be interesting......

Curious. The stadium site would make a mint from housing…Fuller wrote:Yes best wishes Ryan.paperboy wrote:He's not quite a former player, but best wishes to Ryan Bowman who was taken ill during yesterdays match with heart pulpitations.

Watching England concede a penalty tonight made me remember Joe Gadston who must have been one of the pioneers of making contact with a defender to win a penalty. I'm sure he'd challenge my opinion, but it did seem to happen an awful lot.
What's surprising is the transfer fee we paid Corby to sign him.

Joe was guilty of that often,on one occasion he looked up at us behind the goal and winked as the ref;awarded the spot kick we loved him anyway.paperboy wrote:Watching England concede a penalty tonight made me remember Joe Gadston who must have been one of the pioneers of making contact with a defender to win a penalty. Just a little aside, talking about penalties, I think we are 11 League games and a few cup games (16 matches in total?) into the season and I can't remember us conceding or being awarded a penalty yet, which seems a lot for none at all.
Good to see Ryan Bowman playing for Shrewsbury today after last week's health scare.
He'd had similar issues whilst at Exeter apparently.
Football- wise he hasn't set the world alight for Shrews and I reckon he could be another bullet we dodged.
Obviously he'll score against us now.

Ryan Broom scored a cracker last week:
