Not sure the approach is new…just the fitness, confidence and availability of players to actually apply it.

With a quality bench high press all game is much more feasible as players don’t need to worry about managing their effort to get through 90 mins.

Groundsman's absolutely fuming about the number of people on the pitch at half time. 18 with 4 or 5 others to start with doing crossbar challenge and then another group of 10 or so came on after. Angrily waving his arms about and called his guys off, then went over and waved up towards the directors to come down to talk to him.

Have to say, it was ridiculous, especially given it was pissing down. If we get a penalty second half and it's missed...

It looks like we’re sitting back and letting Exeter come at us. I hope Wade Elliott isn’t planning on defending a one goal lead, could be a big mistake.

I am sure Wade isn’t. But the players on the hand……. seems like you have prejudged who you will blame if we don’t win. Shame.

Bonds for Rea please before Bonds has an unexpectedly early finish - looks like a second booking waiting to happen

And getting f#!$ worse. Giving Exeter every possible chance he can. Bottling it under pressure from Exeter fans with booking Southwood when Exeter players hadn't even got back into their own positions. Knobhead.

Well moving Broom from RWB didn't help. Immediately done by a cross from the right as Long is skinned.

Big thanks to whoever threw that flare on and gave us a three minute breather to sort our heads - just what we needed, then we go up their end and score!

Resorted to making a red fruit tea in my lucky CTFC mug and hadn’t even had time to take the bag out before Caleb scored.

The CB goal scoring competition hotting up.

And after taking the bag out and giving it a squeeze I checked Twitter and we had a third!!

Luckily Wade waited for Bonds to intercept and play May through for the third goal before taking him off ;)

As long as we hold on, we're beaten 12 men today. One of the most one sided refs I've ever seen.

Crikey 27.2% possession according to ifollow. Not convinced moving Broom to RWB helped as much as the commentary says but a great 3 points and another 3 goals

Well played lads, good performance. Keena and Rea, what great signings, we’re starting to look like a decent team.

Possession is a meaningless stat in isolation and I wish people didn’t obsess over it. It is how effective you are with the ball which matters and only then is possession relevant.

We had 5 shots on target from 27%.

Exeter had 5 on target from 73%.

That shows we played much more effective football.

We created one shot on target for every 5.4% possession we had.

Exeter created one shot on target for every 14.6% of possession they had.

So we were nearly three times more effective with the ball than they were.

Conclusion: we were the better team and deserved to win.

Don't remember Exeter having a scummy/twat section before. Maybe I'm being too kind

We are. The young players getting more confidence. Players like Ferry and Sercombe getting back to full fitness.

We definitely belong in the mid-table pack we have climbed up too.

We are looking like a L1 side (one which has to fight relegation but a L1 side) whereas the bottom three very much look like L2 sides still.

I was just talking about the stats. What part of my post do you think is incorrect?

I was at Peterborough where we had six shots on target from 28%.

But it is not just this game. For about ten years now my mates have been putting up with me going on about this.

No point having all the possession if you do nothing with it. Might as well nick the ball and score three.

Ok so you didn't then, to fill you in we barely touched the ball for 30 minutes and scored massively against the run of play. It's a valid stat and if you think Wade and his team will just shrug their shoulders on Monday at how dominated we were for that length of time then you're deluded

I felt it to be an interesting stat and you didn't. Thank you for another RCS breakdown of how another poster's opinion is wrong

Anyway useful 3 points, another performance rewarded by a goal for Keena hopefully that'll start the ball rolling COYR

1-1 draw between Glos and Devon today, but a 2- 0 win for England over Scotland.

Reminded me of Swindon in the FA Cup 4 or so years ago when they went wild and let a pyro off just for us to go down the other end and score. Good professional performance today, very clinical.

Was that Addai scoring at the very death? Loads of Chelt fans left as soon as their goal went in and missed it.

Credit where it's due I thought we played very well today especially in the first half. We started the second half very slowly but once they equalized we stepped it up again and got our rewards. Seeing us pressing and defending from the front is a massive improvement on some of the rubbish we've served up at home this season.
