Team news, updates and reaction all here this afternoon: https://bit.ly/FGRHome2023
Fantastic atmosphere pre-match. PRE pretty much full 20 mins before kick off.
Lots of space in the Hazelwood's, and they have the nerve to sing Cheltenhams a shithole, when they're from Nailsworth it's nice that they're still in a jokey mood despite relegation

Assist of the season for the 3rd from Ferry. Beautiful goal.

Well done lads. We’ve seen the team battle hard up against the odds a lot this season but FGR were utterly appalling. I genuinely felt sorry for them first half - they’ve had the c!#p kicked out of them. Duncan Ferguson clueless, they were just rubbish. Bottom end league two/mid conference I’d suggest
Great performance by the team. Easy really, but still needed doing. I think we’ve got a player in keena, could well be a massive transfer fee in the next few years.
Ferguson is dangerous for FGR. He’s on a long contract and is clearly completely inept. If Vince doesn’t wake up they’ll be non-league very quickly. He’s a s#!t manager who had managed to pretend he’s not a s#!t manager

Shame that May shot with the last kick of the first half didn’t go in. That would have been deserved icing.
Very sloppy goal basically from our own kick off when we should have looked to hold on to the ball for five mins.
Great afternoon out.
Forest Green get battered everywhere they goooo.

Great local derby. Thud and blunder yes., but we won all the midfield battles.
Sercs. Bloomy and Elliott all immense.
Caleb won everything in the air as usual and May/Keena both great finishes.
Thought Wil Ferry should have been given the ball quicker as he looked lively.
League One next season and well deserved.

I’m too used to being a negative Nancy post game, but bloody hell what a performance, midfield we’re just incredible. Bonds: immense. What an afternoon out that was, PRE bouncing and seeing those “noisy” lot in the top right of the hazelwoods end walking out early was extra sweet. Even better at the end with wade getting his well earned celebrations, it’s been rough at times but what a job that man’s done. I think that’s all!

The combo of Block one and the end of the PRE.
PRE looked epic today from the half way line.

For me Sercs was MOTM, Caleb was his usual rock solid safe. Bonds continue to bloom, Broom stepped up today but at times looks to take on one too many and undoes all his great work. However to a man today they looked the part. A special nod to Long, it must be hard when the opposition think you are the weak link and keep putting the ball down your wing, but he did his job time after time.

The he most impressive thing for me was how up for it we were. To a man. Great to see and the quality then shone through.
Kudos to Lewis Freestone for fully embracing the derby spirit and sticking it repeatedly to O’Keefe. Loved that so much. I celebrated his shithouse clearance over the police box like a goal.

Absolutely agree regarding Sercs. Bond did a good job. Broom did what he does (!?)Ihearye wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 17:07 For me Sercs was MOTM, Caleb was his usual rock solid safe. Probably half a dozen contenders for man of the match. But I’d go for Sercs as well. Utterly imperious. Completely bossed the midfield. Did the ugly stuff and the beautiful stuff in equal measure.
