Carlisle. Went round the castle last time pre-match and want an excuse to visit the Citadel.
Me too. Nice train journey (if not on strike! ), and would happily vist castle and cathedral again. Far enough away to make a weekend of it. Hope not a Tuesday night!RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote: ↑20 May 2023, 09:45 Carlisle. Went round the castle last time pre-match and want an excuse to visit the Citadel.

Anyway, it won’t be Salford. Lose on pens to Stockport so another year in L2 for Salford.
Carlisle. It’s always scheduled for mid/late January up at Brunton Park, a proper old skool ground, so a nice excuse for a weekend in my nans neck of the woods around my birthday.
Memories of Hammonds park, cobbled streets, best black pudding from local butchers and my brother putting me on his shoulders to look out the skylight of her town house’s attic where we slept when I was about 5, looking across the city and seeing the BT/TV mast reaching high above everything else. Simpler times, simpler pleasures.

Either would be great. Both are large, traditional football grounds. Edgeley Park is right near the station and Stockport has excellent pubs. Carlisle is a great excuse for a weekend away.
Also, both will bring decent away support to us, so very useful for the coffers.

Salford, Wrexham, FGR, Notts County and Bradford all in the same league. Find out which supplier media execs get their tissues from and buy shares!

Salford v Wrexham 100% guarenteed to be on sky next seasonRegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote: ↑22 May 2023, 11:07Salford, Wrexham, FGR, Notts County and Bradford all in the same league. Find out which supplier media execs get their tissues from and buy shares!
Hope its not Stockport, found it so expensive when we played them entrance and refreshments, plus we played them for their last league game, never forget their programme From Chelsea to Cheltenham. Carlisle is 240 miles but its good trip normally plenty of things to do plus some decent ale houses
Stockport are another financially doped team though, guy up there was spending silly money and had players on £3k a week in the national league (if you believe the rumours).
