I fancy AK to get a goal second half.
Would like us to try a few more shots from the edge of the box than trying the extra pass and Keena would be the man for it to fall to

Ferry off the post? What was the chance like?
If he bundles one into the net off his knee the confidence will come...he just needs that one stroke of luck imo
At least 3 points dropped in last few days from poor defending .
And Keena needs to go out on loan. There’s a great striker in there somewhere, just needs to go find the net in lower leagues and rebuild his mojo.
What was Freestone thinking .
Drops us right back into the mix again with some very tough games coming up.

The big problem is that only one team is within 7 points of us now. Because of our GD that’s three wins assuming nobody else picks up any points, so it’s almost insurmountable. That means right now it’s virtually 4 out of 5 going down, and Reading have found some form. It’s starting to look bleak again.

It’s remarkable we are as close as we are after the first eleven games.
No point focusing on the gap to this team or that. Just get 10 more wins.

Not sure we are that far adrift - yet. Less so when compared to where we were. There's half a season to go... so , think positive. Maybe any team up to - maybe Port Vale - are in the mix, and our goal difference now, compared to others, is looking better than it was. Yes, a win in one of Leyton Orient, Reading or today would have helped big time, but we still have a game in hand on some. It would be good to make that count.
I'm guessing we are still upper half of the form table and will now give anyone a game. Losing 1-0 at Northampton is not unexpected, given their form.
Just a more optmistic post to counter the previous... A New Year. Definately not yet doomed. That's progress from where we were.

hmm
Freestone has made a bad decision.
Others have given free kicks and penalties away
This is part of the DC package
Get thjem wound up and the deliver but on occasion will get it wrong
So we move on
Can we do enough - will the board back DC
Only time will tell

Agree he’s a liability but he needs to learn quickly. He might be whole hearted but that’s two poor decisions from him that have given away penalties v Charlton and again today, plus his late error in the Northampton home game when the ball went under his foot, and also against Reading on Friday, their first goal the ball was his to clear with his head from the corner but he completely missed it.
I think DC will be looking for a left sided centre half in this window.
It’s twice now for Freestone on Pens.andgarod wrote: ↑01 Jan 2024, 17:53 hmm

I still prefer him in the team , just he’s coming on the wrong side of decisions right now and we need to keep it tight . Southwood wasn’t far from stopping the penalty today.. unlucky ..
