Not confident going into this one.
Looking bare up front.
Hard grind on Friday.
Exeter playing well even though they dont score many .
Heart says 3 points would be massive today.
Head says we may well get beat .
Probably be happy with a point.

Problem being, will that be enough !
We need to finish above 2 of the 3 from Vale,Burton and Cambridge.
. and although we have games in hands and an easier run in - Vale are hitting form.
The numbers are starting to go against us.
May all be too little to late !
Glass half empty here !

I’m sure they’re saying we’re also hitting form after 4 points from 2 away games.

Every game is a grind from now on. The boys need backing on Monday.

Colin Farmer stand appears sold out, except for a handful of “seats” in block 1 (where you will be forced to stand to see anything of the game!).

Currently around 70 seats available in the main stand, mostly in block A (towards Whaddon Road).

I know personally of one “occasional supporter”, usually opts for the CF, who has (reluctantly) bought tickets in main stand. He knows that legroom will be the main drawback (but fortunately he’s not too tall!!).

As many others have said, great shame that Exeter were allowed to have blocks 7 & 8 in the CF stand. I reckon we could have filled those with our fans quite easily now. But that’s the benefit of hindsight (and fickle fans) - a less favourable outcome at Fleetwood on Friday would have resulted in a lower attendance on Monday. So presumably the board’s calculation was that seats sold in advance to Exeter fans is money in the bank. “Bird in the hand” and all that.

Why not make it seem like a home match for Exeter, it's not as if anything is riding on it and we may make a couple of quid extra on it.

Nothing to be afraid with Exeter. They have had a few bits of luck which got the the points which separate us. Defensively they are pretty much the same as us, as is their attack. Same goal difference. But take away our first 11 games and we are superior. Get that first goal and we should be ok. They like to play it around and with a high press from us all over the pitch we can upset them. Only worry is if they score first and we could struggle to break them down.
So patience and keep the lad Sonny Cox quiet and control the midfield and the 3 points are ours.
As long as someone scores a goal of course!!!!
Cambridge ,Port Vale, and Fleetwood have beaten them, A confident assessment, just hope I haven't jinxed it.
We must be buzzing after Fridays result. Should have the cover for any knocks and injuries sustained from Friday.
Ferry looked like cramp and Sercs looked ok after. Longy took a knock but he is a warrior. Ring any changes for L Orient if need be, but get the 3 points from Exeter.

Exeter only drawn 1 of their 19 games away from home. So if you can't imagine them beating us then its a home win!!!!!
Conceded 5 pens in 19 games that's good. Only won 1 penalty in 19 games as well. Who's good at diving???

Recent form beaten both Fleetwood and Burton and drew at home to Fleetwood, hardly scary, so don't worry Triggo

Exeter away was one of our worst performances of the season. The game where the fans turned on Wade. That was the game when Exeter went top.

And even then, it was only 1-0, they weren’t very good and we might have snatched a draw. They’ve been on a dreadful run since. We can, and should, win.

We’ve had a pretty good record against Exeter over the years. Can’t recall many defeats or even draws at WR.
Some sizeable wins too. Didn’t Keith Lowe get a hat trick once under Yatesy? And 5-3 in our title winning year.

Keith got two in a 3.0 win,the other goal scorer being Lawson D'Ath.

DC will hopefully mix up the midfield today with fresh legs.
I would like to see shepard back in if Bradbury out. Sloggart for pett
Thomas for GL.
Pett been off boil a touch.
Keena to score again

An off-the-boil Pett is still probably our most capable midfielder: no way would I drop him.

Personally I would save the starting line up changes for the L Orient game. See how the game goes today and if we need to chase the game bring whoever on and freshen up the midfield as well. Like to see the midfield go full tilt until we gain a good lead. So no problem with any of Bonds, Sloggett, Harrop, or Thomas coming on later to keep the press going or change the formation. Need to be more attack minded today against Exeter.
Interesting to see Joe and Aidan up front from the start. They seemed to link up well on Friday. Matty has been away for near enough a month now so maybe getting close to playing a part anytime soon hopefully. Wonder if King will make the bench. Still think Josh T could play a forward role, maybe when we are 3 nil up DC can give it a try!!!!

Can't remember the exact numbers now but didn't we win or were unbeaten in something like the first 7 meetings with them, then lost or failed to win the next 11? Since then it's been more of a mixed bag.

Not sure whos even fit or able to do 90 mins in this one.

Assuming Lloyd is out I'd rather we started with Keena up top on his own so theres at least one senior striker on the bench in Nuttall. Also Olayinka may be worth a cameo too further up the pitch later on in a packed midfield.

We won our first 9 against them, then drew 1. That was followed by 9 defeats and 2 draws in the next 11. Since then we've won 4, drawn 1 and lost 2 (that's in all competitions).

We haven't lost at home to Exeter in the league since August 2017 (Dan Holman and a Kevin Dawson brace in a 4-3 defeat).

Olayinka popping up with a late winner will be even more the stuff of dreams than Keena scoring a late winner at Fleetwood.
