1st round proper 1st November and some potential banana skins here after today's 4th Q round draw.

I'm a bit premature, but quite a few clubs with past FA cup links, former player connections and some fairly local too.

We usually want a lower tier club at home which is fine until it all goes Pete Tong.

Just a distraction from other matters.😀

Some really rotten potential ties in there

Carlisle, Gateshead, Boreham Wood, Eastleigh, Ebbsfleet, Southend, South Shields, Tamworth, Wealdstone……

Imagine they’d all lick their lips at a relegation threatened L2 club visiting them.

Can’t see any ties that look attractive. Maybe Weston-Super-Mare at home for a bit of semi-local interest but even that has a whiff of Alvechurch about it.

I suspect RCS is licking his lips at the thought of any of three of those, away, mind...

I'm convinced it will be FFG or Worthing.

And that's before you include the the majority of the league 1 sides, away.

Weston would be great but I would take Gateshead away too.

The International Stadium is just over a mile from my office building, so a Friday or Monday night match for TV would suit me fine.

Surely the first time in living memory that a football match at the Gateshead athletic stadium has been considered a dream tie?

Just noticed that York made it through, which isn't a millions miles from the north-east. A trip to York is always nice and there's a new stadium bonus point as well. That tie would rank very highly on the banana skin index though.

Why would you want an away draw in the Cup ? We need the support and money.

Any thoughts on prices? A little lower than League prices, but not much.

I believe the requirement for minimum pricing has now gone, but the clubs do have to agree admission fees so Bradford will have had a say in this.

I think the prices are what our League prices should be.

I also think the club have missed a chance to get big numbers in by pricing too high. It smacks a little bit of Bradford fans will travel in numbers so let's get in as many of them as we can because even lower prices don't guarantee big home attendances. However, the club is riding a wave of euphoria at the moment (especially if we get a good result against Walsall), so there was a big opportunity here.

With that being said, as you say Jerry, the prices have to be agreed with Bradford as well and they're clearly happy with them.

It certainly feels like a mis step from the club. The first round of the FA Cup doesn't generate a lot of interest usually and as Si says more attractive pricing may have helped with getting a good home crowd and helped the team with the current optimism around the club. Instead they've looked at it like Bradford will bring a few regardless so let's go for maximum ticket prices with only a small discount. £10 a ticket would have been more meaningful and a reward to fans.
