Great move for him. Egg on face for those who thought he would not get a club. We have not won since he left.
He's joined a club in the Eredivisie. It's the equivalent of joining a Motherwell or a Ross County.
Glad he's got a club, but let's not sell it that he's made some fascinating step up.
Had he joined Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV then I'd understand the egg on face comment.

Plus his baggage probably weighs less in the Dutch league.Si Robin wrote: ↑03 Feb 2022, 12:42 He's joined a club in the Eredivisie. It's the equivalent of joining a Motherwell or a Ross County.

Also - no one said he wouldn't get a club, just that we don't see him having that bright a future because of his or his agent's attitude.
The comments made were that in a couple of years he'd probably be playing Conference football when he should be playing in the Championship at least.

In the six years pre covid Willem averaged 12,000 - 13,000. Over the last thirty years mostly in the top tier and a club that has had "Notable former players for the club include Dutch internationals Jan van Roessel, Joris Mathijsen, Jaap Stam, Frenkie de Jong, Marc Overmars, Virgil Van Dijk and Finland's Sami Hyypiä. " according to Wiki.
The comparison with Ross County and Motherwell shows egg covered blinkers .
Have the grace to accept that a one and a half year contract plus option is a decent deal at a good level of football. I would be pleased with that He has lived in the Netherlands. I have been there many times. People seem fair minded there and Tilburg is a great city, considerably larger than Dingwall or Motherwell.

Bradford get around 15,000 on average and have had plenty of internationals over the years.horlickfanclub wrote: ↑03 Feb 2022, 15:19 In the six years pre covid Willem averaged 12,000 - 13,000. There’s some real animals about at grounds every week. Clubs, the FA, and Police need to do something serious. Close stands where bad behaviour is concentrated, abandon games as soon as a smoke bomb is lit. Stop selling beer in the ground. And ultimately, more observant security staff and more of them - fellow fans witness drug taking, antisocial behaviour, vandalism etc every week at games around the country but it seems like security staff don’t see it or there are not enough of them to be able to see it.
I can’t make the game tomorrow and for the first time I am a little bit glad as I do not think it will be pleasant.

Just seen a great Tom Nichols’ goal for Crawley at Harrogate last night (on local news Look North).

Just been reading that Josh Griffiths is out for the rest of the season after damaging ankle ligaments so we wont be seeing him in a few weeks time.
Good luck with the recovery Josh.

He'd had similar issues whilst at Exeter apparently.
Football- wise he hasn't set the world alight for Shrews and I reckon he could be another bullet we dodged.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Obviously he'll score against us now.
Sneaked this in as MT is an ex Robin.
Not sure whether we do this but it seems a good idea to me.

Aaron Ramsey is into the Euro U19 final with England. I think he has started every game.
England are defending champions, with Keith Downing in charge in 2017, and one Easah Suliman scored in the final. Suliman is now playing in Portugal for Guimaraes, but loaned out to 2nd division Nacional - or was, at least.

Turned the game in England’s favour.
Yep, Ramsey scores the third England goal deep into extra time as England retain the Euro U19 trophy, beating Israel 3-1.Broadway Brian wrote: ↑01 Jul 2022, 20:36We’ll done Rambo son.Shade wrote:Aaron Ramsey is into the Euro U19 final with England. I think he has started every game.

Israel should be climbing the world rankings a fair bit in a few years with this bunch coming through.
It’s five years since Taylor Moore first played for us on loan from City. Don’t think his career has ever really got going and another loan at age 25?
