....what happened to hot bovril?
.......a memory from decades ago whilst being forced to watch Glos City......also a few years later at Chelsea...although you needed a rather stiff drink watching those tackles flying in....!
But must admit to not being a fan of the alcove bar in the In2print.

It’s not a fascination. It’s a choice for consumers.
When I come to come games I often arrive into Cheltenham around 12:00 or 13:00 on the Saturday and grab some lunch in town before going to the game, getting to WR at 14:40 or later.
If there were better options at the ground my preference would be to to straight there and spend my time and money there.
I imagine it is even more important for away fans who come on the team coach or drive straight to Parklands. Some may bring sandwiches but more will be relying on food on arrival, and unless you know your way into town then there is not much choice near the ground in Whaddon.
That’s why I generally only go to away games where there are good options for eating and drinking on the way from station to ground or a short train hop away.

They should also not be scared of charging proper prices. Fans getting lunch and a coffee in town or at a service station are going to be spending £2.50-3.00 on a coffee and £5+ on food. By trying to keep the costs down the quality is so poor that it’s poor value. Better quality, but higher prices may mean smaller volumes but it will be better.

Regency - there is a decent cafe down the Prestbury Road going into town about 6/7 mins walk from town and less from Pittville Gates coming from town called "Havana's". No i don't run it!

Yes, been there many times. One of my pre-match staples as per my post saying I get lunch in town or ok the way to the ground, rather than at the ground.PittvillePundit wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 21:28 Regency - there is a decent cafe down the Prestbury Road going into town about 6/7 mins walk from town and less from Pittville Gates coming from town called "Havana's". In the days of the old canteen I can remember a burger van sometimes came and parked up in the ground on the Wymans side near the corner flag
