Is it me or has Michael had his head turned?

He's hit the ceiling at CTFC and often refers to Crewe finishing mid table then getting relegated this year. Is this something he is fearing?

Crewe got relegated because they lost all their better players for small fees and Artell was given no money to replace them. No reason that happens here even with the current tight fisted board.

We will be losing our better players for free though so it very much could happen

Which better players will be leaving for free? Only Will Boyle I'd argue. It would take large fees to take Alfie May, Elliot Bonds or Ben Williams who are probably our highest value assets. Granted we will lose Etete, Pollock and probably Callum Wright but they are loans and not ours to begin with.

By "free" I mean we'll be losing important players without getting a fee, sure they're loans but will need to be replaced regardless
