Not condoning what he did but the sentencing in this country is all over the place, and as consistent as most referees decisions.

Regardless of what one thinks of the ethics of British business, foreign policy and football governance, copyright infringement is a crime and this guy looks to have been selling criminal devices at industrial scale so rightly punished. As Shade states, the real issue is that so many people get away with it - I am surprised the thread on this forum where people are sharing links to illegal streams was not deleted as one report to FACT could land the forum (and the business which hosts it) in hot water.

The Newcastle takeover was originally blocked due to industrial scale piracy, so that shows the Premier League takes it copyright seriously.
