Good interview. Provides a good balance to the inevitable reactionary emotions of most fans.
I am confident we will be OK and relaxed about the season ahead.

Sensible. But Very surprising to hear that Charlie Brown was left out tactically.
We need his right wing back position sorting so that we can abandon this George Lloyd utility man experiment ASAP.
There’s no way we should be leaving Brown off the bench if fit.

There was I thinking the days of Square pegs in Round holes had passed. We have enough defenders in the squad to fill two back fours.Broadway Brian wrote: ↑30 Jul 2022, 19:54 Sensible. But Very surprising to hear that Charlie Brown was left out tactically.

Had Taylor Perry scored that early chance and Alfie scored that other chance he had it could have been 4-0 at half time.
early days etc etc - oh and the ref. usual garbage
Agree with that. Lloyd offered nothing when he came on. He should go out on loan again.Broadway Brian wrote: ↑30 Jul 2022, 19:54 Sensible. But Very surprising to hear that Charlie Brown was left out tactically.

A few weeks off and I’d forgotten just how bad the officiating is at this level. To be fair, he gave some stinkers against them too including a potential missed penalty and that cock-up with the goal-kick that we were lucky to get away with.
He had a really infuriating skip as well.

When we can make five subs he is a good player to have. Especially when he comes on with his running and energy.Fuller wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 09:37Agree with that. Remember how he helped change the game against Wimbledon last season which ended up being the pivotal moment to reverse our collapse towards relegation into a cruise to safety. We need all our options and everyone in the squad will play their part at some point.
