Strong rumours on Twitter (yeah, I know) that talks are advanced for him to take over from Russell Martin when he goes to Southampton.

Sources seem credible and Barnsley fans are worried.

As soon as read cttc-fan's post, I am sure that somebody would point out the error of his ways. It took less than half an hour. :-)

Guess what I saw a week or so ago was true then. Was hoping Leeds would "take a risk".

If Martin Devaney does not go with him it might be Wade Elliott to Swansea.

My Barnsley supporting friend thinks that if Duff goes, Disco will be given a shot at Barnsley.

20% sell on clause? But fair play to him to at least be linked

Swansea have been a bit of a mess recently but could establish himself at championship level. Would be a tough move to turn down

Do we have any sell on clauses on MD?

Mentioned it as tongue in cheek before but don't think I've ever heard of it being a thing for a manager - would be interesting if anyone does know of any examples

Interesting thought. But I guess players are different from managers because with players you’re essentially selling the players registration which has a value. For managers it’s more like compensation rather than a transfer fee so doesn’t lend itself to sell on clauses.

Pretty sure that most of the time they just pay the remainder of their contract but could be wrong

I'm already limbering up for the visit of Barnsley fans this season just so I can return the "He left 'cos you're s#!t" chant back at them.

Karma.

He's not hanging about is he? Unless he has an insanely good season there I expect he will plateau for a bit in the championship.

Bet MD's next assistant is licking his lips about getting the Swansea gig in a year or two

Thinking about this move, has a bit of an SC ring about it. He moved on to Stoke, jumped to Sunderland and didn’t exactly do very well (albeit with Howard Wilkinson).

Be interesting to see if it works out for him.

At least Duffo has a) done a full season and b) taken the top job elsewhere, not an assistant role.

I can see him doing well and getting his next move to the Premier league in a couple of years.

Is that the Gab Sutton that tipped MK Dons for promotion last season?

There's a bit of a difference between being in the know and making season predictions.
