Lol, I like how the say “could not save Forest Green from relegation to League Two.”

No mention of the fact they were only a few points from safety when he took over and ended up about 20 points from safety.

Must go down as one of the worst appointments in football history, as some predicted at the time.

 How many of us didn't see this coming when the 5 year deal was announced in January? Only surprise is they've waited until 4th July.

Was on a five year contract too.
Hefty compensation one suspects.

FGR have just announced a " long term kit deal with Umbro"
Wonder if that's also 5 years ...or 5 months or even 5 weeks.

FGR is an embarrasment to professional football. I never thought DF would be there at the start of the season after his lack of points last season. I would not want him anywhere near CTFC

Was it only 5 months ago that @rse was on TV and radio telling us all Dunc was the only one they looked at, no need for interviews blah blah blah. Basket cases

So not using their bamboo or coffee grind shirts or whatever it was?

All I can imagine is Umbro offer more cash and FGR need the income for SCMP.

Bamboo shirts? Have to say, I needed to buy sheets a couple of years ago and decided to try bamboo ones as I'd read a bit about them. They're flippin' amazing and I doubt I'll ever buy cotton again.

Switched to bamboo in 2019: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48869499

And then coffee grinds in 2021: https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/ ... ee-grounds

Got some bamboo socks and one t-shirt myself.

I was going to say earlier Vince is guaranteed to put a woman in charge next. If it was virtually any other club I'd wish her all the best but we know it's all a PR stunt, as usual.

Its the woke virus creeping into our game. Woke insanity has taken a lot from me already, but it WON'T take away my soccer.

Given her qualifications and role as head of the academy she knows a damn lot more about football than you ever will, you pathetic individual.

Bet you have blue hair, nose ring and a copy of Vegan Weekly under your mattress...and I'm the pathetic one!

Man and boy I've been on the terraces, sometimes tears and a few smiles on my face. I tell you this boy, I know the game better than any woman and that includes those with male genitals!

All Vince is interested in is making headlines. First vegan club, first this, and first that. Now he has the first female coach in the pro game in England. He just wants to keep his name in the press like being on the slow walks in London with "just stop oil" and giving them a load of money and donating to the Labour party etc. He doesn't care about FGR at all. It's all about him. Be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm sure she's the cheap option as Vince just had to pay off Duncs 5 year contract

I grew up watching Cherie Lunghi in The Manageress. I have no idea why someone wouldn't see this as A Good Thing unless you're a complete misogynistic pr1ck...oh, hi, Mal!

Prescient stuff from the woman herself - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65080960

All the very best to her. She'll need it under Vince. Oh, and I'll give Mal the benefit of the doubt that he's just winding us up by being deliberately provocative. If he really means it then, well....

Interesting selection; wish her well and that FGR at least stay in Lg2 for the coming season [just] , but relegated the season after!

Is Malabus really parodying a knee-jerk Daily Mail reader though? The problem with imitating such reactionary dinosaurs is that some people can't detect the satirising and just think somebody is 'telling it like it is'. This misconception drives Al Murray Pub Landlord up the wall (& Johhny Speight, creator of Alf Garnett felt the same). We're meant to be laughing at them, not thinking they are remotely plausible. As for the appointment, it's a brave move & she clearly knows her stuff. Shame it's them, but I think in this case the ground being broken more than outweighs the petty local tensions.....just because you don't like a team, doesn't mean everything they do is 'wrong'.

Misogyny is likely to become a hate crime and I would advise any individuals on this forum to tread very carefully indeed about the attributes of females, from a skills qualification perspective, in any profession. We are a civilised Western democracy. We are not the Taliban.

Nope. I have very little hair left and no piercings. Not familiar with Vegan Weekly, so take your word for it that it exists. Is it the magazine you hide your copy of Incels Quarterly in when venturing out of your cave?
