Tickets now on sale for the Birmingham Carabao Cup match.
Surprised the Tunnel and the Optimising IT stand are both shut?
First home game of the season proper and you’d expect a reasonable gate.

It's the league cup attendances are awful for all clubs, will be lucky to get 2500 I would think and that's with a sizeable away following.

Brum will easily bring 1000 down, more if we give them the option. It’s the League Cup, not the JPT, a Prem team could await in round 2 so I’d expect closer to 4000 there.

It’s about time we turned over a Prem team in the League Cup. Chelsea in Round 2 anyone?

It does seem an odd decision.

Birmingham took 1200 to Norwich last season for the equivalent game, which is a significantly harder journey than popping down the M5 to Whaddon Rd. They'll easily sell 1500 if we give them the CF allocation as well.

As usual the problem will be not enough seats as we'll probably fill them all in that scenario.

They brought 1200 yesterday for a friendly so maybe the club will have a re-think and open up more areas of the ground later?

Yes, that was pretty surprising. Birmingham are a bonafide Big Club though I suppose.

Normally I'd advocate just the Hazlewoods, but there is no way this is going to bring in hordes of Cheltonians (hell, we couldn't even sell out against West Ham a few years back in the same competition). Maximise sales to Bluenoses and bring the money in.

The problem is stewarding. I believe we share our stewards with them lot down the road and that will impact the Blues game.

Rarely an issue but it is for this one.

Expect a sell out from Blues and a few fair in the home sections.

Could be chaotic if all those wanting to stand try to use the paddock ?
