Since the formation of the 500 Club, we have handed out just over £500,000 in prize money.
Slowly but surely we are beginning to increase the membership up since we lost around a 100 members during Covid. Still spaces available all for a fiver a month.

I know of a few of these schemes - even our local GP surgery has a '250 club' - but I don't know of any quite as successful nor as long-lived as this one. Congratulations are in order!

Well done Shevates this is an amazing achievement and the job which you and your group have done is outstanding.

As an aside, a thought I was having was could the 500 club potentially help fund electronic advertising boards like other clubs have? I don't know how much they cost but I saw Notts County invested recently and they stated that the return on investment would pay for itself within three years.

a considerable sum, well done. Having won the monthly draw in the past, I can confirm, even those who usually win nothing, can win :)

£500,000 raised is absolutely tremendous, well done Steve, that is an admirable milestone. I am a member and can confirm I have had two nice wins (for the benefit of any readers pondering membership), upon which I was able to convince a close associate and fellow Robins fan to join up as well. It is great to hear the membership is on the increase again post Covid.

I wonder whether a further inducement in addition to the prize money, might tempt a few more punters to join up ? If the Club was in agreement (as the 500 Club has proven its worth over and over again) how about a promise to ALL 500 Club members that they would be guaranteed a priority ticket in addition to their season ticket guarantees, for any major high-demand game, such as a Cup match against a Premier League Club ? It’s not going to cost the Club a penny, but for a £60 a year payment (on easy payment terms 😉), with a chance to win a nice sum of money AND a guaranteed ticket for a high-demand game, what is there not to like ???

500 Club members do get Priority for a cup ticket, after season ticket holder, also you get 50% discount for hiring the robins club for a private function

That’s good to hear, I either hadn’t realised or it had slipped my mind, but it’s definitely a fine inducement.

They’ll be giving away loyalty cards for beer and lager in the Nest next, buy 10 get one free.

Oops, my bad ! They’re already doing that as well. Perhaps we’ve missed a trick there with the free beer, maybe that should only have applied to 500 Club members. Perhaps when that little initiative comes to an end, maybe it could continue for 500 Club members ?

I wonder what interest there would be in something like Free Travel Club Membership for 500 Club members ? That might be a nice further inducement.

Isn't it a good idea to occasionally refresh ones ability to use a pen to fill in a form and post a letter?😉

Sorry just being mischievous!

Sorry, this thread has reminded me I need to do it! I've been meaning to join for ages, but just haven't got round to submitting the form.

Steve, as the subs have stayed at £5 per month since the 500 club's inception would increasing these to maybe £7 pm be something to think about given inflation has diminished the value of the sums raised.

Thanks again to you and your band of helpers.

When the cost of pretty much everything continues to go up, and membership to the 500 club isn't an essential thing for a lot of people, I don't think that would be a good idea, personally.
