Thomas Parsons makes his Whaddon Road officiating debut on Saturday. He's a newbie having only stepped up to the EFL from the National League last season.

He has done a couple of Burton games, though. Their impressive 3-2 win at Hillsborough last season and a 1-1 draw against Tranmere in the Pizza.

Surely the first referee in history to not realise that a team had 12 players on the pitch? What an accolade.

The fourth official takes all the blame for that farce.

He stared perplexedly at the board as if it was the first time he'd ever seen one.

Actually thought we got the rub of the green from the ref today generally. Certainly more than other refs have given us recently.

The substitute debacle actually happened twice today in the same event.
