I'm wearing the lucky 2006 play off winning Bence shirt tonight. You're welcome, in advance.

Wow, that is some change to the starting line up. Davies and Bradbury as a 2 at the back?! Ferry, Lloyd and Keena on the bench...

Nuttall starts alone up top, and Thomas and Harrop get their first starts as well. What a time to get it...

Let's pray this doesn't backfire bigtime.

Other than Davies playing I'm pleased with this

Hopefully they haven't got anyone with any pace! Long, Davies, Bradbury...even Williams really. I guess Williams might have edged it over Ferry as it's a defensive full back role.

I miss the days when the players used to come over and applaud the fans at the end of the warm up. It got a bit of noise going, especially before big games.

play a system that obviously isn’t working for a whole half.

Midfield is so weak. Pett looks a shadow of his earlier self

At least if we do somehow turn things around here, Bristol Rovers are losing again and possibly in worse form than we are.

Doesn't help that this f#!$ referee is giving a free kick to Carlisle for every f#!$ tackle

Just a comment on the first half. Why the **** do we persist on taking long throws? Not only do we get nothing from them but we don’t look like we’re ever going to get anything from them!

On a must win game, have we had and hot on target?

Another ref to add to the cuntt list. Every single challenge on a Carlisle player is a foul apparently. Not that that's the reason we're losing but it doesn't f#!$ help

Pathetic.

Absolutely no goal threat what so ever. No surprise after selling the goal scorers.

Accept relegation and rebuild a competitive squad again after a mass clearout in May

We could play for another 90 minutes and not get a decent shot on goal

Fair play to the Carlisle fans, quite a few for a Tuesday night when they're already down. Still, it was a good bet for them that they'd win.

I wonder if any other team in a must win game against a relegated side has ever had 0 shots on target. Pathetic. Get rid of the lot of them this summer.

absolute shambles.

not a hint of concern about being relegated from anyone in a red shirt or coaching staff.

This is it. I could accept it of they'd given their all, shown a bit of urgency. But aside form a couple of 5 minute spells they were jogging around like they're on the beach already. Can f#!$ off the lot of them.

Yes. Not only do we not have a consistent goal scorer(s) but the passes into the box are just ‘hit and hope’ rather than anything specifically skilfull.
We were playing at home against a team already relegated and they were still motivated enough to make us look third rate. It should have been the other way round.

I think that (as written elsewhere on here) we've got one of the smallest squads in League One. The stress of playing Tuesday/Saturday for four weeks at the end of the season (along with injuries to big players like Matt Taylor/Freestone) is proving too much - and we haven't got the players or the experience to swap players out with equal/better quality. The win against Fleetwood where players put their bodies on the line would have been great if we had a few more days for recovery/recuperation but the games come thick and fast. Players who have been decent (Kins/Davies/especially Pett) have just been 5/10% off their normal performance recently and against teams that are scrapping for every point such a small drop off is proving fatal.

Haven't scored enough goals to stay in the league TBH - this was our game in hand so fingers crossed that we come roaring back on Saturday. A bit of luck with other teams helping us out, good performances in the next five games, and lets see where we end up...

Desperately poor, but then we‘ve clearly gone down a level over the past 8 or 9 games. There‘s just no quality in the final third, the absence of Goodwin, Street & Taylor very noticeable.

Amazed DC changed the formation in a game which was going to be massive in our survival hopes.
Clearly wasn't working after 25 mins and did nothing to change it. And it's cost us the game.
Saying that back to normal formation second half, despite being the better side we were never going to score.

I admire your optimism and the fact you're still hoping. I, for one, during that 90 minutes have pretty much already come to terms with League Two football next season. Looking for the positives, FGR will still hopefully be a division below us, and we will avoid the Wrexham hype train visiting WR.

Yeah, no idea why he bothered waiting until half time, same as Exeter, when it was clearly not working and we were by far second best.

Clarke got it wrong

Thomas starting so we completely change the team and formation
but did we once play to Thomas and feet
Nuttall was being well looked after but that meant we well not getting the ball

Nuttall was getting ironic cheers but he had no support

Clarke is blaming the players but he is the manager
He needs to motivate and stop picking his favourites rather than fresh players
We end up with the strike force that didnt score in 12 matches

LLoyd again didnt get a strike away Keena had no supply

Lets pretend we are already relegated and we just play a pressing game

I am afraid its goodnight ........

Probably one of, if not the, most desperate, turgid, mind numbing, clueless, guileless, abject games of football I have ever had the misfortune to witness.

From inexplicably lumping balls up to our two ball playing 10's, to Bradbury taking goal kicks from outside the 6 yd box... TWICE, to Elliott Bonds seemingly foregoing the traditional studded footwear to wear a pair of roller skates, to playing so slowly it felt like we were waiting for Carlisle to get in defensive shape before we attacked, to taking off Kinsella (who I thought was our best player first half) and leaving on the totally ineffective Pett and Sercombe, the whole night was a total shambles from the Manager downwards.

Totally devastated and whilst we may not be mathematically relegated surely if there is a football God then we should be morally relegated on that performance.
