Will be joining us in League Two next season. They are both into the NL playoff final.
I hope it’s the Moors. Not quite St Andrew’s where we may have gone if we stayed up, but an easy ground to get to.
Bromley or Solihull Moors

For a ground in a built up suburb of Birmingham, Solihull is annoyingly difficult to get to by train.
Bromley is far worse though, so it’s got to be The Moors obvs.

They’ve done very well over the last 10 years or so. Some good investment and a decent catchment area for players.
Will be interesting who we do get on Boxing Day. We are nearly always at home, you’d think it would be Swindon but the EFL don’t seem to like real local derbies on BD. Traditionally it’s been south west clubs like Yeovil, Exeter or Plymouth. But some odd ones too, Macclesfield came here 20 years ago.
Possibly Newport. Maybe Bromley…

Close-ish, but not enough to warrant a large Boxing Day police presence like Swindon or Newport. We had Shrewsbury last year.
Macclesfield eh - I remember one time years ago when my boss ( a Macc Town fan) came to see them play at WR along with a couple of neutral workmates. I remember that it was a bit of a scrappy game on a Tuesday night - Wayne Rooney's brother John hit a screamer from outside the area for the winner and (I think) Elvis Hammond scored for us in a 2-1 loss. Cue boss giving it the big I am in work for the next couple of months until they dropped into non league a few years later - of course I was too polite to say anything meanFuller wrote: ↑06 May 2024, 09:08Will be interesting who we do get on Boxing Day. 16th October 2009. Back end of the Allen era. I remember when Hammond scored he got injured at the same time and was lying on the floor for ages.RS1978 wrote: ↑06 May 2024, 11:16Macclesfield eh - I remember one time years ago when my boss ( a Macc Town fan) came to see them play at WR along with a couple of neutral workmates. The train isn’t as horrendous as I thought.
Chelt to Padd
Tube to Victoria
15 minute hop to Bromley South.
Could actually be quite a fun trip.
