well....

I know we lost - I was not there so just going by what the Radio Glos team said, but some encouraging performances by the youngsters. Roberts not helped by a bizarre Sido moment.

Lets hope for better next season, and use the lads like Hanks, Williams & Zak instead of bringing in loan players!!

interesting few days ahead with the retained list possibly going to be one of the shortest ever.

I'm losing faith. Honestly. That was horrendous today. Richards MOTM again, never, he was awful. Sido's own goal one of the worst I've ever seen but Roberts was poor I thought. Williams and Hanks were decent, Kotwica anonymous.

Roberts looked very short on confidence. I'd be giving Scotty a new deal ASAP. Same with Sido, although he was obviously at fault for the own goal.

Hanks looked decent. The free kick for the goal was nice and he picked out one fantastic pass. Williams and Kotwica were largely anonymous, unfortunately.

If that is what we have to look forward to next season then Yates won't last the first month and we will do well to avoid relegation. Only Joe Hanks comes out of that game with credit I'm afraid.

Well, see that the Nest is finishing the same way that it started the season.

The kids get some game time as part of there development and then we see post stating that they were anonymous, not up to much etc. etc.
All of the people have to take note of what Yates said in his interview today, they ALL need your support, encouragement and then, only then, will they start to show signs of their potential. I do not think that most of you really appreciates the work and commitment that all these players have put in.

Kotwica and Williams are only on their way now but have already shown the commitment for over 10 years at the academy. Hanks similarly has done nothing but grind in the effort over the years and done his apprenticeship with out so much of a moan at Gloucester.

Then in true style we resort to giving them marks out of 10 and tell them they need to improve and push on. As players what do you think they would score you as fans, 4, or 5 at best?

They are young, inexperienced at this level and will need time to reach their true potential. But we do need to get behind them rather than subject them to some of the the rubbish written on this site.

Well done to Joe, Zack and Harry, i give them all a round of applause for at least putting on the shirt and wearing it with pride.

Next season, unite behind the team, whoever is wearing the shirt, get the chants going in the stands, perhaps a funny limerick or two about the gas going down, get an atmosphere at WR rocking like it was 15 years ago again and then, only then will the results and crowds will at least have a chance of returning.

I was very impressed with Hanks : i thought he was our best player on the pitch for large parts of the game. Composed, tenacious, forward looking - great talent for the future and on todays display, should be in starting squad for next season imho.

Well done to Yates for giving them all a run-out today. I see very few people are willing to give him credit for anything these days..

How true thanks for the post. Put much better than I could. I thought the lads did really well. Get behind them next season I think they will be all we will have. All looked like they wanted to be there and full of passion.

I will support these players when ever they play for us, but what you want will never happen and even if you could get CTFC fans to, the opposition fans will give them stick.
They have a part to play next season whether on loan or in the team but experience tells me not for a whole season so we will need a mix of experience to.

What happened with that shot in the second half, by the way? From where I was sitting, it looked as if it was going in and then Williams knocked it over the bar from a yard out, but we got a corner, so I'm assuming that wasn't the case?

This isn't me trying to blame anybody, by the way. I was just wondering if anybody could fill me in.

Yates was right about the mistakes, Cheltenham should've won comfortably today. Hanks looked very assured, in the 1st half , he lost 2 players and pinged a ball down the line before his inch perfect free kick, but the cross field pass he made in the 2nd half was absolute class! He looks like he's going to get better and better.

Williams only went for it as their player was as well and unfortunately their player cleared it straight over hence corner.

Ah. Okay. Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm not sure that your post is fair, CTFC_Forever. I completely agree that they need our support and I was giving it to them during the game and will continue to do so. I'm not going to come back and say that they are the saviours of the team, though. Kotwica and Williams were mainly bypassed. I want to see them continue to get chances, but I'm not going to start artificially boosting their ratings. We can see from the reserves that they both have a lot of potential. Hopefully they gain that confidence and start getting involved in the game more.

Great post CTFC - Our young kids need the encouragement and support of Chelt fans in order to boost thier confidence on the pitch and their development off it. They will all benefit from another hard summer in the gym and come back fitter and stronger for next season.

C'mon lads - we're all behind you, but we understand that it won't come overnight.
