Shots. Bromley 7 Cheltenham 18
On target..Bromley 4 Cheltenham 8
To be fair, if you look when the post was made Bromley had been well on top and had created the better, most clear cut chances by far.itsallbollox wrote:Match stats don't agree with you London exile.London Exile wrote:Sounds like Bromley have had the better chances. Apart from first 15 mins we were by far the better team, not just in terms of chances, but controlling the game. Prior to their penalty Bromley only had one chance in the second half ( which admittedly was a fantastic save from Phillips ).
Have to say looked like we had blown it, but a vital winner - massive 3 points.
Great turn out - I would say around Gateshead numbers (140) but much more vocal.
This team can win the league.

Errr, I don't think what a fan writes on THE INTERNET is the reason for our relegation.trickster wrote:Comments like that are the reason we got relegated people refusing to see the truth.

I am almost afraid to touch my keyboard again! My comments may make the difference between promotion and not....between winning the FA cup and not........oh alright.....Just to say that Grimsby only beat a pretty poor Halifax side.......How did we do against them....on their patch?

I’m not getting into a long drawn out argument that if fans hadn’t backed Yates for such a long time and refused to admit he’d lost the plot we may have had time to recover, that’s what I mean about refusing to see what’s actually happening, but you just have your childish little joke.

Comedy gold this thread.
Glad to see Hall scoring. Two subs score which is testament to squad and manager. Tired strikers draw another blank.

I guarantee you if Hall hadn’t scored McLennan would have been crucified on here.
So are you actually going to comment on his other "howlers" or keep spouting nonsensical rubbish?trickster wrote:RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:Comedy gold this thread.

We have lost two games all season, both of which were very unlucky last minute smash and grabs, just got a brilliant win away at a team who had won 5-0 at home only on Saturday and were the divisions top scorers, but no, lets talk about how our left-back, who has barely put a foot wrong this season and has assisted a few of the goals we've managed to score, made yet another howler....
For what it's worth, I would have taken a draw last night, but I am chuffed to bits with a win. Whilst I'm not confident enough to predict we'll be champions, I've seen nothing at all to make me think we've got a number of teams to be truly worried about.
Now, has what I typed going to have any bearing on us obtaining promotion???
It's just great to be back challenging up the top of a table again whatever league we are in. Much more enjoyable looking up the table than looking down it like we have the last couple of years. We have got ourselves in a good position but we could do with going on a winning run now and really kicking on and putting distance between the teams below us. We definitely have the team and manager capable of winning this league.

.........I would be slightly more reassured if we had two "strikers" that didn't need 18+ attempts and still fail to score!

The team that is creating those chances is good enough to back up the strikers. Who cares who scores as long as we get one more than the opposition. Considering the clowns we have watched for the last 3 years up front I am amazed some people do not appreciate our front two. Yes,it may be desirable to have another striker rather than an unused midfield player on the bench but our starting front two have been a massive part of the TEAM. Hardworking honest pros as opposed to the idle rich some prefer.
