Yesterday there was a closed door feiendly
Normally JP would be telling us what the team was etc etc but he is obviously out in the cold his fault or the clubs

At least JP reported the score, which was held in Bristol.
Bristol Rovers fans are saying their local press didn’t even report that the game was taking place.

He confirmed that Sopu scored our goal as well.

It was really out of character for JP to cryptically tell tales.
I guess either his love for the club got the better of him or his bosses said look you're a reporter......Well report!
Either way he will still be briefed by his club source, probably agent Teabag.

I find it truly bizarre that JP said as much as he could say to let us fans know there are serious issues at our club and some short-sighted, or maybe blind, fans see that as him "throwing his toys out of his pram."

There are still fans thinking Johnson is being treated harshly.

tbf the relationship between JP and the board was a bit too cosey, I presume people just got used to it.

Confirmed by the club now. https://www.ctfc.com/news/2025/septembe ... y-johnson/

Judging by the statement the majority of the fans sad to see him go are sat in the board room.

The tweet said they were disappointed to announce it.

Honestly, they actually think he was doing a good job!!

That statement has completely dumbfounded me.

Seemingly not planned, not a decision taken by Garlick, not part of a wider restructure.

Hugely disappointing.

Bits of that read suspiciously very like a tweet put out by PB in support of GJ a week or so ago

At least he had the good sense, and dare I say decency, to resign, especially before another 90 minutes of chants against him on Saturday, but it does make me a little concerned that the board have released a statement that is so tone deaf.

Why couldn't he explain fully what he thought? That is the job of a journalist, not cryptic one liners.

Turn it around. If he could explain it fully, why wouldn't he, as he is a journalist?!
I'd imagine it's probably something like he's been told things that he fully believes, but has no tangible proof to prove it.

John knows a lot that goes on at the club (as do a few on here) and has told the fan base on the nest as much as he possibly could without putting his job on the line I'd of thought, maybe one day it will be revealed.
There is a post on another thread which summed the situation up perfectly, which I can't mention
It's time to move on regardless of supporters thoughts, let's all get behind the team
