I liked him. Better than Power .We could have signed him and moved Arkell forward.Fuller wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025, 20:08 Morecambe have signed right-back Lewis Payne on a free transfer after he was released by Southampton.
Payne, 21, started his career within the Championship side's academy, making one senior appearance in the League Cup, before heading out on loan to League Two teams Newport County and Cheltenham Town.

You could put together a great 11 out of the players we've had over the past few years.
Shame none of them are currently at the club...

Some of our most progressive, threatening forward play last season was he and Thomas combining down the right. His overlapping runs, a classic of the inverted winger genre, along with Thomas's trickery had several full-backs bamboozled. Baffled me that we didn't play them together more often.horlickfanclub wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025, 08:44I liked him. Speaking of goal machines, CTFC legend Tahvon Campbell scored two for Yeovil in JG’s first game in charge last night.
JG is Assistant Manager. Richard Dryden is Manager.Jerry St Clair wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025, 06:11 Speaking of goal machines, CTFC legend Tahvon Campbell scored two for Yeovil in JG’s first game in charge last night.

I note you didn't take issue with my description of Campbell as a goal machine though. Wise.
Will Ferry called up by Republic of Ireland. Well done Will.

Joe Nuttall scored two goals for Morecambe last night.

Well, this hits hard. My dad died of Cholangiacarcinoma last in the summer. It was only diagnosed two weeks before he died. It’s virtually symptomless, rarely detected before stage 4 and incredibly aggressive.Ihearye wrote: ↑22 Oct 2025, 14:04Might be just because we have more access to info, but these very very sad events seem to be happening to people earlier in their lives, than in the pastasl wrote: ↑21 Oct 2025, 13:02 Did we know this about Marvin Brown? Scanning will pick it up if you are at risk (colitis is a red flag), you’re right, even a decade ago people dying of this would never have known it.
All best wishes and thoughts to Marvin and his family.

Beat a St Mirren side featuring a goal-scoring Dan N’Lundulu yesterday. Surely would have beaten his chest and kissed the badge.

My thoughts are with Marvin’s two young girls and his partner Alexis, his wider family and all his friends at this very sad time.CS85 wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 21:39Marvin has now sadly passed away.asl wrote: ↑21 Oct 2025, 13:02 Did we know this about Marvin Brown? Not sure I did!

The ‘Go Fund Me’ fundraiser for the family to help deal with the financial aftermath has already reached its original target (new target now set) as Marvin wasn’t able to get life insurance because of years of ill-health. Bills and Mortgage have to be paid. Although it’s a very decent sum of money, we know it doesn’t go far in this day and age. But it’s one less worry for the family right now.
There have been some incredibly generous individual donations. Heartwarming.
